As expected, Vivo (styled as “vivo”) has unveiled one of its newest phones, the Vivo V19, in Kenya today.

The device features a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a dual punch-hole camera. The latter feature is a first for the brand and it is banking on the unique 32MP + 8MP lens arrangement to win over customers in the highly competitive upper mid-range segment of the market.

“Both the front and rear cameras are equipped with special modes to capture stunning photos at night. The front camera’s Super Night Selfie mode – with Layer-Based Beautification, Spatial Merging Denoising, and Multiple Exposure features – allows users to take clear and beautiful selfies set against the backdrop of a night time city skyline or the countryside’s starry sky,” reads a statement from the company.

“The rear camera’s Super Night Portrait mode – with Multi-Frame Screening, Temporal Alignment, and Spatial Merging Denoising – allows users to capture high-resolution photos of all life’s wonders, even at night.”

Its other standout features include an under-display fingerprint sensor.

Another standout feature is the device’s battery. At 4,500mAh, Vivo is promising buyers of the V19 “long-lasting durability”. In addition to that, when the need to juice up arises, thanks to the company’s proprietary Dual-Engine Fast Charging tech, the V19 will go from 0% to 54% in just half an hour, according to Vivo.

The device, which comes in Gleam Black and Sleek Silver colour options locally, starts selling on July 2nd. Until then, it is up for pre-order at Vivo outlets countrywide.

The Vivo V19 is going for Kshs 41,000.
