The Xiaomi 11T Pro is now available for purchase in Kenya.

The device, part of the Xiaomi 11 series of smartphones, is available through the e-commerce platform, Jumia Kenya.

The Xiaomi 11 series is the first batch of devices from Xiaomi that arrives without the Mi branding that had become synonymous with devices from the brand for years.

“The Xiaomi 11T Pro is another reassuringly capable Xiaomi phone for a highly competitive price. It’s fast, has a solid main camera, a fine display, and outstandingly rapid charging for a reasonable price,” notes a statement from Xiaomi Kenya representatives.

Announced back in October alongside the Xiaomi 11T Lite 5G and the Xiaomi 11T, the Xiaomi 11T Pro is the hero of the Xiaomi 11 series and offers an affordable alternative to Xiaomi’s flagship Mi 11 smartphone series.

It packs a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, a high-end chipset in the Snapdragon 888, a primary 108-megapixel sensor that can shoot 8K video at 30 frames per second and HDR10+ at 30 fps. A 16-megapixel selfie camera, a 5,000mAh battery that has a 120W charging brick in the box, an industry first, to juice it up to 100% from when it is flat out in just over a quarter of an hour (Xiaomi HyperCharge, the tech is called) and, MIUI 12.5, round up the list of some of the most remarkable features of the device!

The device, alongside the Mi 11, Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10T, and its predecessor, Mi 10T Pro, is among the first Xiaomi devices to get it (MIUI 12.5).

Breaking them down further, users of the device will benefit from the assistance the primary sensor gets from the accompanying 8-megapixel ultra-wide and the 5-megapixel macro sensor.

A 10-minute top-up of the device, thanks to the HyperCharge tech, results in one getting at least 5 hours of navigation, according to Xiaomi, 7 hours of video playback, 2 hours of 1080p video recording and 11 hours on call.

Memory options for the device available are as follows:

  • RAM: 8GB
  • Internal storage: 128 and 256GB

The device is going for Kshs 49,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage model and Kshs 64,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage model and comes in three colours: Meteorite Gray, Moonlight White, and Celestial Blue.
