Samsung is re-amplifying its ‘Try Galaxy’ application that allows users of non-Samsung Galaxy smartphones to test drive features found on its Galaxy S23 series devices.
According to Samsung, the app, which is available on the web at trygalaxy.com, is available in 14 languages including English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Arabic and several others.
“We’re committed to continuing to give people who aren’t already Samsung users the opportunity to explore what’s possible with the best and latest Galaxy experiences,” Sonia Chang, the Vice President of Brand Marketing Group of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics is quoted saying in a statement from the company.
The ‘Try Galaxy’ app is not exactly new and this is not the first time we are hearing of its existence or seeing it in action. It has been there since last year and it is built exclusively for iPhone users to show them what they are missing by not being on the Samsung side of things when it comes to mobile. A visit to the website from any Android device returns a message that clearly communicates the intention: This experience was designed for iPhone users. You’re on Android already.

While it can be argued that, much as one is already on Android, they may not necessarily be using a Samsung Galaxy smartphone, the intentional targeting of iPhone users kind of makes sense: they use devices that, for the most part, operate at the same level as the Samsung Galaxy S series: the ultra-premium smartphone retail segment that Samsung targets with its Galaxy S smartphones.
With the ‘Try Galaxy’ web app, iPhone users can take the Galaxy S23 series’ software experience for a spin, trying out the camera experience and getting a sneak peek of what various elements work all without stepping into a physical shop or showroom for a more hands-on experience. The hope here is that, in the end, Samsung will be a little bit more convincing that some users will eventually end up being converted.
This is not the first time that we are seeing Samsung do this. In the past, the company has released full-fledged mobile apps that have offered a similar experience.
