WhatsApp users are now able to edit their messages.
In a statement, WhatsApp says that the feature is now rolling out – has been for the last two days – and should get to everyone over the “coming weeks”.
“All you need to do is long-press on a sent message and choose ‘Edit’ from the menu for up to fifteen minutes after,” WhatsApp says.
“Edited messages will display ‘edited’ alongside them, so those you’re messaging are aware of the correction without showing edit history.”
The edited messages are still end-to-end encrypted.
