When browsing through the official Samsung US, UK or India websites, there’s an option to buy whatever product you want directly from the website without having to go through another shop, unless you want to. However, this is not possible here in Kenya. To partially address this, Samsung partnered with BrandCart back in 2022 to make its products easily available for online purchases, and truth be told, this got me really excited.
Listen, I’m a bit of a Samsung fan. I dig their sleek smartphones, gorgeous TVs, top-notch refrigerators and what not — they know how to make a tech lover drool. But their online shopping situation in Kenya? It leaves me scratching my head.
As noted, I was excited at the prospect that lied ahead when they launched BrandCart. I thought to myself that finally, a seamless way to buy Samsung goodies directly from the source was here. But then came the weird part — there’s no trace of BrandCart on their official Kenyan website.
You might find a “Where to Buy” button that helpfully lists every brick-and-mortar store near your location. Yet, no sign of their very own online shop. It’s like they’re hiding it. So, what’s a Samsung fan to do? Search for BrandCart separately, like it’s some forgotten stepchild of the company.
Why create this unnecessary hassle? Imagine browsing their website, falling in love with a new phone, and then boom! You’re forced to leave the site for a purchase. It breaks the flow and honestly, makes me less likely to click the “Where to Buy” button.
Samsung, I get that you value your other retail partners, but come on! Isn’t BrandCart your Kenyan online baby? It lets you control the whole experience and gather all that valuable customer data. By integrating it directly into your website, you make it easy for fans like me to show our brand loyalty with actual purchases without unnecessary hassles of jumping through multiple websites to make a purchase.
Isn’t it time to give BrandCart the spotlight it deserves on your official website? A simple “Buy Now” button next to all those gorgeous product photos that redirects potential buyers to the product page on BrandCart is all it takes to show you’re serious about making online shopping a breeze for your Kenyan customers. I mean, think of it as a much-needed act of self-love for your own e-commerce platform.
