Samsung has begun rolling out its latest One UI 6.1 software update to the Galaxy A34 5G, Galaxy A33 5G, and Galaxy A14 5G in Kenya. Based on Android 14, this major upgrade delivers an array of new features and enhancements that promise to significantly elevate the user experience across various aspects of these popular mid-range smartphones.
Even though the update misses out on some Galaxy AI features like Circle to Search, One UI 6.1 still brings several other innovative tools to empower users’ creativity in image editing. You can now copy and paste elements seamlessly between images, making it easier to create unique compositions. The ability to add missing elements with accurate image clipping further expands editing possibilities. The Gallery app also receives a revamped search function, categorizing results for easier navigation.
With One UI 6.1, Galaxy A34, A33, and A14 users can personalize their Lock screens and Always On Displays with a wider selection of widgets, including Weather, Samsung Health, Battery, and more. Users can set custom alarm alerts using images, videos, or AR emojis and personalize reminders with unique backgrounds. Calendar customization options have been expanded, and routine conditions have been added for a more tailored experience.
Seamless connectivity and sharing
One UI 6.1 merges Quick Share with Google’s Nearby Share, enabling seamless file sharing between Galaxy devices and other Android devices, even without an internet connection. The new Samsung Find app allows users to locate their Galaxy devices and share their location with trusted contacts.
The update, which tags along the April 2024 security patch for all three devices, also brings several other improvements, including easier access to Video call effects and Mic mode, more information in the Weather widget, voice input without leaving the keyboard, and the ability to open all minimized apps at once.
With the rollout of One UI 6.1 in Kenya, Galaxy A34, A33, and A14 5G users can look forward to a more powerful, customizable, and secure smartphone experience. The update is expected to reach all eligible devices gradually, and users can check for it manually in their device’s settings.
The Galaxy A15 4G, on the other hand, is receiving the latest May 2024 security patch, but there’s still no One UI 6.1 for this device.
