Xiaomi has officially revealed its roadmap for rolling out the highly anticipated HyperOS 2.0 update, with the first wave kicking off in November 2024 and extending into 2025. This new OS version promises a more refined user experience, packed with enhanced performance, AI features, and a sleek new interface. And the good news? A whole slew of Redmi devices is included in this update plan.

November 2024: With the first wave starting in November, Xiaomi is introducing HyperOS 2 to a few flagship and premium devices. While Redmi is only lightly represented in this batch, it’s an exciting start that lays the foundation for the broader rollout. Key devices in this initial update include:

  • Redmi K70 Ultra

For this early wave, Xiaomi is focusing on delivering HyperOS 2 to top-tier devices, offering a taste of what’s coming to Redmi users in later waves.

December 2024: December is when things get interesting for Redmi fans. The second rollout wave will bring HyperOS 2 to a wider array of devices, including past flagship models and the newly launched Redmi Note 14 series. If you’re a Redmi Note user, keep your eyes peeled. Devices scheduled for a December update include:

  • Redmi K60 series
  • Redmi Turbo 3
  • Redmi Note 14 series

Alongside these Redmi models, Xiaomi is also updating several other popular models and tablets to ensure the new OS reaches a broad spectrum of users.

2025: The real treasure trove for Redmi users is coming in the first half of 2025. Xiaomi will extend the HyperOS 2 update to older devices, making sure even past models get to enjoy the upgraded experience. Here’s the list of Redmi devices slated for the HyperOS 2 update in 2025:

  • Redmi K50 series
  • Redmi Note 13 series
  • Redmi Note 12 series
  • Redmi Note 11T Pro/Pro+
  • Redmi 14 series
  • Redmi 13 series
  • Redmi 12 series

It’s clear that Xiaomi is making a serious commitment to its Redmi line, ensuring that users of both recent and older models get a taste of HyperOS 2.

HyperOS 2 isn’t just an incremental update; it brings some seriously exciting features. It is designed to make your device feel faster and more responsive. Expect quicker app launches, better battery life, and a smoother user interface that’s both modern and intuitive. Like any other major Android update from other OEMs, HyperOS 2 integrates powerful AI-driven tools, including translation, writing assistance, and voice memo recording, making your Redmi device a handy assistant for both personal and professional use.

This roadmap isn’t just a promise; it’s a roadmap to a smarter, more capable Redmi experience. While this availability timeline is based on Xiaomi’s Chinese rollout, it gives us a good glimpse of what’s coming for users worldwide.
