There are reports that Samsung has already started works on the Galaxy S9 and S9+ and as if warming up for the debut of the 2018 flagships, Safaricom is offering some amazing discounts on the Galaxy S8 and S8+, perhaps to help clear the shelves. But there’s a catch.

The best discounts we’ve seen so far for Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ slashed an impressive Ksh 18,000 from the original prices of Ksh 85,000 and Ksh 95,000, respectively. However, Safaricom has something even better, where you can grab the Galaxy S8 for as little as Ksh 54,999 whereas the S8+ can be yours for just Ksh 64,999.

As much as the deal might sound extremely sweet, here comes the tricky part. In order to pay the said amounts for Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+, you need to have 50,000 bonga points with you. If you do manage this, the giant carrier will also award you free 4GB data to kick off your internet life on either phone.

If you don’t have the said 50,000 bonga points, Safaricom will still let you have the high-end Samsung Galaxy S8+ at a discounted Ksh 79,999, down from Ksh 89,999. As you can see, you will be saving a cool Ksh 10,000, however, it appears that this deal is limited to the S8+. In addition to saving Ksh 10K, you also get free 3GB data on top of that.

Neither Samsung Mobile Kenya nor Safaricom has specified how long this deal will be running, but there’s a caution that it may end soon. So, be sure to grab it while it lasts via any Safaricom shop countrywide.
