When Samsung opened up pre-orders for the Galaxy S8 and S8+ back in April, the South Korean company offered customers a free Level Box Slim Bluetooth speaker, however, this was only limited to the first 2000 customers.
More than four months later and only a month before the new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is here, the company has even more freebies for those still in the hunt for the Galaxy S8 or S8+. This move is, obviously, aimed to clear the current stock and make room for the new Note 8, which makes it even better for those interested in the S8.
Right now, buying a Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ will earn you free goods worth up to Ksh 12,000. According to Samsung Mobile Kenya, those who buy either of the two phones will walk home with a “big and bold starter pack” made of a screen protector, a clear cover and a wireless charger.
Despite giving you these free goods, the company has not discounted the original price tags of both Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+. Where the former will still set you back Ksh 85,000, the latter is valued at a cool Ksh 95,000. These prices are way higher than what the two phones currently cost on Phones Arena Kenya, but here you don’t get the freebies as with the case of Samsung.

In terms of specs, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ give you 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display screens with QHD+ resolutions, an Exynos 8895 SoC, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, 12MP/8MP cameras and a 3000mAh battery for the S8 and 3500mAh for the S8+. Both have Android 7.0 Nougat running the show out of the box as well as features such as iris scanning, facial recognition, fast wired and wireless charging and Bluetooth 5.0, among other goodies.
This deal is available via all Samsung shops across the country.
Meanwhile, the new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is expected to be here in October priced at Ksh 100,000, but the specific date is still unknown. Stay tuned and we’ll let you know when the phone is available locally.
