Last September, the premium midrange HTC Desire 10 Pro was unveiled alongside the Desire 10 Lifestyle, which is the entry-level variant of the 2016 HTC Desire series.
At the time, the Desire 10 Pro was exchanging hands at about Ksh 40,000, but recently, Jumia has been selling it at Ksh 29,999. Now, thanks to the ongoing Black Friday 2017 offers, the retailer wants you to save an impressive Ksh 6,000 by paying just Ksh 23,999 for the same phone.
For the uninitiated, the HTC Desire 10 Pro is powered by a powerful midrange octa-core processor from MediaTek, the Helio P10, clocked at 1.8GHz and mated with an impressive 4GB RAM. The Desire 10 Pro gives you 64GB of storage and if this isn’t enough, feel free to buy a microSD card of up to 2TB and beef it up.
The display screen is a decent 5.5-inch LCD panel with a 1080p resolution and protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass technology. The Desire 10 Pro is powered by Android 6.0 Marshmallow with HTC’s Sense UI on top. The OS is quite old and unfortunately, the phone’s Nougat OTA update status still remains unknown. There are some cool cameras too, where the back has a massive 20MP lens with an aperture of f/2.2, laser AF, dual-tone LED flash and 1080p video recording while the front has a 13MP shooter with the same aperture, Auto-HDR and 1080p video recording.
Keeping the HTC Desire 10 Pro alive is a decent 3000mAh battery unit that supports fast charging via a microUSB port. The rear panel is not removable and it’s where you find the phone’s fingerprint scanner. The Desire 10 Pro also happens to be among the last HTC phones to feature a 3.5mm audio jack, so you might want to take advantage of this deal if you still dream of owning an HTC handset with this traditional jack.
