A month after it started publicly testing Android Oreo on its flagship smartphone, the Nokia 8, HMD Global is finally seeding the update to all users of the device.
The good news was broken by HMD Global’s Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas on Twitter.

HMD Global has committed to updating the Nokia 8 and its other devices, the Nokia 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7 to Android Oreo and even the version of Android after it.
It is not immediately clear when the other devices will be receiving their Oreo upgrade but we guess it will be soon.
The Nokia 8 has been on sale in the country since the beginning of October for between Kshs 48,000 and 60,000 (at Safaricom). Today, it is one of the few devices that are the subject of a huge Black Friday sale on Masoko, Safaricom’s new e-commerce platform (tip: it’s very slow and buggy probably as a result of the massive traffic it has been receiving. Before loading Masoko.com find something to cook, by the time it is done, your page will have fully loaded).
