Chinese brand OnePlus has just announced its latest smartphones, the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro. While the former is just but an incremental update to the OnePlus 6T from last year, the latter sets bars of its own as it seeks to unsettle the status quo.
So much that reviewers are swooning over it. Ryan Hager over at Android Police calls it “the best smartphone you can buy right now” while Ron Amadeo at Ars Technica calls it “the fastest, best-designed, best-value Android smartphone”.
That is quite something given the kind of decent offerings we’ve been treated to from various Android device makers since the start of the year, including Samsung’s impressive Galaxy S10 family which many are using to make comparisons with OnePlus’ latest.
If the device is as good as they say it is then guess what else is good? The wallpapers.
As is always the case, a new device also means a new set of wallpapers. In the case of OnePlus, they commissioned Swedish artist Hampus Olsson to design wallpapers for the new OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro and boy, did he deliver!
If you are still drooling over those wallpapers then you are in the right place. Olsson has been generous enough to not only share all the wallpapers he designed for OnePlus’ best smartphone, yet, but also others that his artistic genius has driven him to come up with. You can get all of them through an application that you can download from the Google Play Source (see link below).
With the app, you get 150 wallpapers free. Paying Kshs 200 upgrades one to the premium version and unlocks the remaining 150 wallpapers.
One thing that is important to note is that the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro also include some live wallpapers. Since those were created by OnePlus and not Olsson, they are not available in the Abstruct app.
You may not have the almost Kshs 70,000 one needs to get the base model OnePlus 7 Pro but who says you can’t replicate the looks? You’ll probably just have to make peace with the fact that your device is forever stuck with a notch while the OnePlus 7 Pro isn’t.
