The Galaxy A9 2018, Galaxy A7 2018 and Galaxy A8+ 2018 recently picked up their first software updates into the Android Pie era. To follow in their footsteps, the Galaxy J4+ is also receiving its first post-Pie update in Kenya with the latest security patch level.
Arriving as version J415FXXU4BSF7, the update installs July 2019 security patch based on Android Pie. The software is airborne, meaning not all Galaxy J4+ units in the country will receive the download notification at the same time.
The changelog doesn’t say much, but usually, such updates also include various bug fixes and system-wide stability improvements, so be sure to download it once the notification shows up.
You can check for the availability of the update in Settings > About phone > Software update and install it manually, that is, if available. Otherwise, keep waiting and it’ll be there soon.
