Samsung Galaxy A9 2018 and Galaxy A7 2018 received their updates to Android 9 Pie in May 2019 followed by the Galaxy A8+ 2018 in June 2019. Since then, these three haven’t received any other software update, until now.

The Galaxy A9 2018 is receiving the latest July 2019 security update as software version A920FXXU2BSFB. The same update also adds support for Digital wellbeing and improves the camera stability of the device.

Those using the Galaxy A7 2018 are receiving an update with software version A750FXXU1BSG1. Besides installing the June 2019 security patch, the update also improves network and camera stability. It also improves the performance of the camera.

As for the Galaxy A8+ 2018, watch out for an update with software version A730FXXU5CSE7. This one installs May 2019 security patches alongside the unmentioned bug fixes and stability improvements.

All three updates are airborne, meaning you may have to wait for several days before your unit receives the OTA download notification. Or simply force the update via Settings > About phone > Software update and check for updates.

Of the three, only the Galaxy A8+ 2018 will miss the upcoming update to Android Q. You can read more about Samsung Android Q update below.
