The Samsung Galaxy A70 has been selling in Kenya for quite some time now, long enough to be receiving the fourth software update since its debut, not to mention discounts as well.
Despite all the greatness the Galaxy A70 brings to the table, Samsung wasn’t convinced enough to add it to the list of Galaxy devices that receive monthly security updates. Instead, it joins the Galaxy A80, Galaxy A50, and the entire Galaxy A 2019 series in receiving quarterly security updates.
This makes the latest rollout quite a special download for any owner of the Galaxy A70. After this, the next version could take more than up to three months, so be sure to grab this one.
It’s arriving as version A705FNXXU3ASG6 and besides bumping the security patch level from May to July 2019, it also brings a couple or so new camera-related features and improvements.
After the update, the camera app will now have a dedicated night mode for improved photography during the night. After the update, the camera can now become your QR code reader, which is pretty cool.
Last month, the Galaxy A30 received a software update that improved the moisture detection algorithm of the USB port. Apparently, this same improvement is coming to the Galaxy A70 with the update to build ASG6.
Samsung also says the A70 will enjoy improvements to the overall stability of functions and camera picture quality after installing the update that is rolling out now.
