Nokia 7.2 is the latest Nokia smartphone to receive its Android 10 upgrade.
According to HMD Global’s Chief Product Officer, the device is currently receiving the update.
This is in line with the revised update schedule for Nokia smartphones that HMD Global released over three weeks ago.
Other devices that are set to be updated any time now, as per that schedule, include the Nokia 2.3, Nokia 3.1 Plus, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 6.2 and the Nokia 8 Sirocco. 6 devices in total.
About two weeks ago, the Nokia 2.2 became the first device from HMD Global in weeks to receive its Android 10 upgrade.
The Nokia 7.2 has been on sale in the country for a while now having debuted back in September. Frequently dropping below the Kshs 30,000 mark, it has been an easy-to-recommend device even though it is held back by weaknesses the Nokia brand (at least in this day and age) is very well known for – so-so battery life, so-so camera experience.
However, the usual software guarantees that HMD Global offers for the device – up to two major OS upgrades and up to 3 years of monthly security updates – do a good job covering up for the failings in the hardware department.
The Nokia 7.2’s Android 10 update comes at a time when rumours are rife about the inevitable arrival of its successor, the Nokia 7.3.
