Samsung’s latest premium smartphones, the foldable Galaxy Z Flip as well as the Galaxy S20 trio, are finally here.

The devices, unveiled at an event on February 11th, are set to go on sale in various parts of the world over the next few weeks.

In Kenya, those eager to lay their hands on Samsung’s latest gadgets will also have the next few weeks to start doing so.

The Galaxy Z Flip, as we have already noted, goes on sale sometime over the next month or two albeit in limited quantities.

The Samsung Galaxy S20, S20 Plus and S20 Ultra, on the other hand, will be up for pre-order sooner.

Starting next week, on February 21st, the three devices can be pre-ordered online through Safaricom’s shop, Masoko, and offline at Samsung brand stores across the country.

Starting from March 13th, the three smartphones will be available for purchase by just about anyone with the cash.

So, how much will that cost you?

The standard Samsung Galaxy S20 will go for Kshs 100,000 while the Samsung Galaxy S20+ will retail at Kshs 120,000 and, finally, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra will cost Kshs 135,000. Of course, with the mandatory marketing-friendly 1 bob off on each price.

Placing a pre-order for any of the three devices will result in one getting a free pair of the new Samsung Galaxy Buds+.

All the three devices feature Samsung’s Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O displays with high (120Hz) refresh rates and HDR10+ certification. Where they differ the most as far as the display is concerned is size-wise. The Galaxy S20 has the smallest panel, at 6.2 inches while the Galaxy S20+ gets a bump up to 6.7-inches and the biggest display panel of them all is reserved for the hero of the flagship trio, the Galaxy S20 Ultra at a whopping 6.9 inches.

The S20 Ultra also gets a mammoth 5,000mAh battery and a gimmick-sounding high-resolution 108-megapixel sensor on its back to add to the razzmatazz the device already has going for it with its 100x “Space” zoom (double that of the famed Huawei P30 Pro from last year) courtesy of its 48-megapixel telephoto lens. The S20 and S20 Plus have 30x maximum zoom levels.
