Infinix has announced the local availability of its latest budget smartphone, the Infinix Hot 10 Play, as expected.
The device “is tailored for young people who demand high-quality video and gameplay on a cinematic display, without sacrificing battery performance”, according to a statement from Infinix.
The Infinix Hot 10 Play features a 6.8-inch “Cinematic Dot Drop” display, a MediaTek Helio G35 chipset and a 6,000mAh battery. The latter feature is backed by what Infinix calls the ‘Power Marathon’ which allows the device up to 55 days of standby time and over 50 hours of call time.
As usual, Infinix is putting a lot of emphasis on the device’s 8-megapixel selfie camera and the dual 13-megapixel ‘AI’ lenses at the back. The emphasis on the AI bit, on both the front and back-facing sides, is for the portrait shots which, Infinix says, “helps create the most natural and beautiful portrait shots – no matter if it’s the front angle or side angle of a subject”.
The Infinix Hot 10 Play is going for Kshs 15,500 and is available for purchase via Infinix’s own Xpark e-commerce store as well as on Jumia. Infinix-branded outlets and Safaricom retail outlets across the country are the other places where one can purchase the device. It comes in blue, purple, green and black colour options. It is available in the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage configuration.
