Oppo is set to unveil the Reno7 series in Kenya on Monday, 25th April. That much we already know.

However, as we are learning, the company plans to double down on one of the standout features of the latest generation of its Reno smartphones: the camera.

The launch event, which Oppo says will be graced by renowned local celebrities, will highlight some of the key features of the device’s four cameras (one on the front and three at the back).

These features include the Bokeh Flare Portrait, the Selfie HDR, the AI Portrait Enhancement, among others “that users can capture the world in stunning, professional-quality portraits”.

“Bokeh Flare Portrait is another extensive feature available on both the Reno7’s front and back cameras. This makes the user experience super easy to take photos with beautiful, dream-like bokeh lights as a glittering backdrop,” notes Oppo in a statement ahead of the launch next week.

The Reno7 series other feature, the Micro Lens, is being touted by Oppo as the first in a smartphone in the country. According to Oppo, the Micro Lens “helps you capture the smallest details that your eyes can’t see”.

AI Beautification, on the other hand, “can accurately recognize and erase blemishes, pimples, acne scars and sunspots, and intelligently retouch skin tones or makeup while keeping other desired features intact in not only selfies but also group photos”.

The Reno7 series uses Sony’s IMX709 sensor customized by Oppo to deliver the above-detailed features and more, using image enhancing algorithms.

The Oppo Reno7 series comprises the standard Oppo Reno7, the Oppo Reno7 5G and the Oppo Reno7 Pro. As of this moment, we are aware of the local availability of the Oppo Reno 7 and the Oppo Reno7 5G.
