Smartphone brand Oppo is set to officially launch its latest smartphone series, the Oppo Reno7 series, in Kenya in a few days time.
The Oppo Reno7 series, which comprises the Oppo Reno7 and the Oppo Reno7 Pro, will be launched in Kenya on 25th April.
As was the case with the past generation, the Reno6 series, we expect the 5G variant of the Reno7 to be the first in the market with further communication on the availability of the Pro variant being a wait and see affair.
The Oppo Reno7 5G was announced globally 2 months ago and packs a 6.43-inch AMOLED Full HD+ with a high-refresh rate of 90Hz, like its predecessor, the Oppo Reno6 5G, one of the best smartphones from last year in the local market.
Underneath is a MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset, unchanged from its predecessor, to bring with it good performance and the 5G network connectivity.
“The OPPO Reno 7 brings out the latest styles and design technology to users through the introduction of the self-developed Fiberglass-Leather Design with a simple but effective spliced camera design,” Oppo says in a statement.
“Reno7 5G has been created by the innovative use of Laser Direct Imaging (LDI) manufacturing process on the exterior of a smartphone. The use of LDI technology is the first time LDI has ever been applied to the exterior design of a mobile device. It is also the first time that OPPO itself has used laser engraving technology to perform additional precision processing on top of the OPPO Glow layer,” the statement adds.
Several Oppo dealer and partner outlets in Kenya’s capital Nairobi have been spotted running pre-orders of the device ahead of its official unveiling.
