Speaking of those features, the Xiaomi 14T series is making waves with more than just powerful specs. The company has finally jumped on board the “Link to Windows” train, letting their latest flagships integrate seamlessly with Windows PCs — just like Samsung, OnePlus, and other major brands. Previously, Xiaomi held out on bundling this feature straight into their phones, but with the 14T Pro, that changes.
Xiaomi’s HyperOS (its custom take on Android) will come with Link to Windows baked in, starting with an update to version 1.0.10.0. Once the update hits, users will find a new “Link to Windows” option in their settings, opening the door to a deeply integrated experience between their phone and PC. This means you can sync your clipboard, stream apps, and enjoy smooth cross-device connectivity. If you’re the kind of user who bounces between phone and computer like a tennis ball, this feature is going to make your life a whole lot easier.
Even without this preinstallation, Link to Windows lets users sync notifications, calls, messages, and photos, but the system app version takes things up a notch with features like clipboard syncing and app streaming. While Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed whether its instant hotspot feature will be available on the 14T series, it’s clear that the brand is stepping up to compete with the likes of Samsung and OnePlus in the cross-device space.
So, while Kenya might miss out on an official Xiaomi 14T launch, we can still celebrate the brand’s local presence with the Redmi series — and cross our fingers that more Windows integration finds its way into more Xiaomi devices with future releases like the Redmi Note 14 family when it arrives in the country.
