Samsung introduces Galaxy A (2017) series smartphones into the Kenyan market

Samsung has finally made good its promise to launch its updated Galaxy A series of smartphones into the Kenyan market.

The three devices, the Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 (2017), are now available on sale across the country.

The Galaxy A5 and A7, pack 16-megapixel camera sensors on both the front and the back for better mobile photography. All three devices have fingerprint scanners embedded on the physical home button on the front and water resistance and dust protection.

They also have Always On displays and Samsung’s Secure Folder, features that have previously been a preserve of Samsung’s high-end smartphones like the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy Note 7.

Pricing for the three devices is as follows:

  • Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) – Kshs 35,000
  • Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) – Kshs 45,000
  • Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) – Kshs 52,000
