Samsung Mobile Kenya has a bunch of cool offers for those who purchase the budget Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime, Galaxy J5 Prime, Galaxy J2 as well as the entry-level Galaxy J1 Ace from any of its stores across the country.

The Galaxy J family brings you phones that carry top-notch specs, solid designs, quality cameras and a promise of monthly security updates yet priced at figures the common man can afford.

The high-end model on the list is Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime, which comes with a 5.5-inch TFT display screen that features a 1080p resolution, an Exynos 7870 octa-core processor paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage. The camera has a 13MP lens on the back and an 8MP shooter on the front while keeping it alive is a decent 3300mAh battery unit. Even though you get Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, there’s a scheduled update to the new Android 7.0 Nougat. Samsung is selling the Galaxy J7 Prime for Ksh 25,999, but you get a free 16GB microSD card.

If this one is too costly for you, the Galaxy J5 Prime is a little cheaper at Ksh 20,999 and it also comes with a free 16GB microSD card. The J5 Prime’s cheaper price tag is because it comes with a smaller 5.0-inch HD (720p) display screen, a weaker Exynos 7570 quad-core processor paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The back camera is the same as the Galaxy J7 Prime, but the front shooter gets a 5MP lens. The battery is also smaller at 2400mAh and the phone comes preinstalled with Marshmallow, although an update to Nougat is not so far away.

On the other hand, buying either the Galaxy J2 or Galaxy J1 Ace will hand you a free T-shirt. The latter is priced at Ksh 9,499 and for this, you get a 4.3-inch 480p display screen, an entry-level Spreadtrum SC9830 processor paired with 1GB RAM and 4GB of internal storage, which can be expanded using s microSD card. The back camera has a 5MP lens and the front gets a 2MP shooter while keeping it alive is a 1900mAh battery unit, which is removable. For the software, you get the extremely old Android 4.4.4 KitKat with no plans for an update.

As for Samsung Galaxy J2, you get to part with Ksh 11,999, which gives you a slightly bigger 4.7-inch display screen with a 540p resolution, an Exynos 3475 quad-core processor paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The back camera has a 5MP lens while the front gets a 2MP shooter, just like the Galaxy J1 Ace, but the battery is slightly bigger at 2000mAh, although still removable. In terms of software, the Galaxy J2 has Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box.

There’s no word on when – or if – this offer will end, but it’s better to grab it as early as possible before any changes come in. Visit any Samsung shop across the country and you can walk away with either a free 16GB memory card or T-shirt depending on which phone you buy.
