The Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite is currently receiving the Android 9 Pie update.
The Mi A2 Lite, as the name suggests, is the small sibling to the Xiaomi Mi A2, one of the best Android One smartphones one can buy in the country at the moment – even better if they take advantage of the discount on the 128GB variant.
Like the Mi A2, the Lite variant launched with Android 8.1, with an unstated promise to upgrade to Pie which we assumed since, well, Android One.
The update, reportedly, brings with it Android Pie features like App Actions,Slices, Adaptive Brightness in addition to enabling the FM radio app which is disabled on Android 8.1. The update also brings with it the November security patch.
When the Mi A2 started receiving the Pie update 10 days ago with no word on when its Lite sibling would be doing so as well, some of us were a little worried. Now, all those fears are gone as the Pie update, which clocks in at just a gigabyte, is rolling out in various regions around the world.
We cannot confirm the update’s availability in the country at this moment, though.
