It’s only been several weeks since the tri-lens Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 started selling in Kenya and the Korean company has a new update for those who already bought the phone.
No, this update has nothing to do with Android 9 Pie, but it doesn’t make it less important. If you have been experiencing any unusual performances, bugs, errors or any issues for that matter, this is the update that could fix your problems. Also, the update, which is arriving bearing firmware version A750FXXU1ARK7, brings along a new Android security patch level for the month of November 2018.
The story is the same for users of the Galaxy A5 2017 and Galaxy J6 in the country, where the duo is also receiving November 2018 security patches. Owners of the A5 2017 should watch out for an update with software version A520FXXU7CRK2 while Galaxy J6 are receiving version J600FXXU3ARK1.
All three devices are receiving the updates over the air and since they just started rolling out earlier this week, the wait for the download notification to arrive may take you all the way to next week. You can either wait for this notification or try forcing the update via Settings > System update and download the update manually.
It’s worth noting that December 2018 security patches are already available for a handful of Samsung devices. With these three getting last month’s version at this point in time, we could easily see the current version arrive towards the end of this month or maybe in 2019, which is typical for non-flagship Samsung phones.
