Late last year, HMD Global, the custodian of the Nokia brand as far as mobile devices go, released a roadmap that detailed when the various smartphones it offers in the market would be seeing an Android 11 upgrade.
So far, the company has managed to upgrade several smartphones in line with that roadmap, take away a few days.
About half of the devices captured in that roadmap have made the jump to Android 11 from Android 10. The fate of another half, until a few days ago, was undetermined with the promised date of updates by the second quarter of 2021 fast eclipsed.
Now, HMD Global has provided an update as to when the users of such devices, like the Nokia 7.2 and the Nokia 6.2 etc will be getting their Android 11 fix. The timeline for the duo now moves to the next quarter (Q3 2021) while other devices like those in the Nokia 1 (1 Plus, 1.3 and 1.4) and Nokia 5 (5.3 and 5.4) series are earmarked for updates this quarter.
