Tech brand Oppo last week announced tha availability of its latest smartphone, the Oppo A95, in Kenya.
The Oppo A95 is the latest addition to the company’s A series, which comprises budget smartphones.
Features and specifications
The device packs a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display that has a feature Oppo is calling ‘All-day Eye Care’, “a smart AI that’ll automatically match your screen’s brightness to your environment.” It has 8GB RAM that is designed to work more like what we have seen Infinix do with the Note 11 Pro. that is coupled with the 128GB onboard storage and a Snapdragon 662 chipset from Qualcomm.
There’s a 48-megapixel triple camera setup at the back that features 15 different image-enhancing filter presets. On the front is a 16-megapixel camera with several features built-in like AI beautification and what Oppo is calling ‘Front Night Mode’.
The device runs on an updated version of ColorOS 11, ColorOS 11.1 which brings a few fixes to what has been Oppo’s mainstay over the last few months as it looks to roll out the next version across the board.
The Oppo A95 is dustproof and waterproof, thanks to its IPX4 rating.
Other features include a 5,000mAh battery that supports Oppo’s proprietary VOOC fast-charging at 33W which sees the device go from empty to full in an hour and 12 minutes. A 5-minute charge, according to Oppo, will see users get just under 2 hours of YouTube video viewing and under 6 hours of voice calls. The battery also comes with the software optimizations we have seen on other Oppo devices to allow for better and safer overnight charging.
Price and availability
The Oppo A95 is going for Kshs 34,000. It is available at online stores Jumia Kenya, Kilimall and SkyGarden Offline, it can be bought at all Oppo brand stores in the country.
