At the launch of Samsung’s 2022 flagship smartphone series, the Galaxy S22, it was intimated to us that we would soon be seeing the company catering to the other segments of the market that had not been touched on that day. Obviously, those “other” segments of the market were in reference to the entry-level and mid-range segments that are dominated by the company’s A-series smartphones.
It appears we won’t have to wait much longer as a date has been set for that reveal, going by the invitation.
March 17th is the date you should circle on your calendars as it is when Samsung is set to show the world what it has been working on since the last time it refreshed the series.
Word on the (online) street is that we are going to see the Galaxy A23, Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A53 smartphones on that day. We might also get to see the hero of the Galaxy A series, the Galaxy A73.
Notable additions to the devices over their predecessors and alongside other expected incremental upgrades will include the availability of 5G network connectivity either directly in each model or via 5G versions of the devices. Given that it is only now that 5G network rollout is happening in many of the markets that the Galaxy A series dominates, unlike the advanced markets where the Galaxy S series holds forte, the latter option is more likely.
The new devices will benefit from Samsung’s new software update policy.
The reveal will be streamed live online on the said date.
