Oppo Kenya has announced the local availability of two of its latest A-series devices, the Oppo A54 and the Oppo A74.

The two smartphones were announced globally in March and April.

As can be deduced from the model numbers, the A74 (pictured above) is the superior device.

It packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset, compared to the MediaTek Helio P35 chip found on the Oppo A54.

It also has more memory (6GB RAM) compared to the A54 (4GB RAM).

Where the Oppo A74 has 33W Flash Charge, the Oppo A54 makes do with 18W fast charging.

The Oppo A54 makes do with a HD+ panel while the A74 has a Full HD display.

Both devices have similar internal storage (128GB) and battery capacity (5,000mAh).

Both also have 16-megapixel cameras on the front.

At the back, the Oppo A74’s has a 48-megapixel main sensor that is flanked by a pair of 2-megapixel depth and macro sensors. The duo can also be found on the Oppo A54 assisting the 13-megapixel main camera.

The Oppo A74 is priced at Kshs 29,000 and comes in Prism Black and Midnight Blue colours.

The Oppo A54, on the other hand, comes in Crystal Black and Starry Blue colour options and is priced at Kshs 22,000.

According to Oppo, the A54 has IPX4 rating meaning that it fairs well against water splashes from any direction.

Both devices are already available for purchase across the country through authorized vendors.
