Samsung is rolling out fresh software updates for a selection of its Galaxy devices in Kenya. The Galaxy A33 is receiving a notable update, bringing it to firmware version A336EDXS8DXC1. This update focuses on the March 2024 security patch alongside general bug fixes and performance optimizations.
Importantly, this marks the second update for the Galaxy A33 since it received the significant upgrade to Android 14 and One UI 6.0 earlier this year. But there’s nothing major it adds to what is already existing on the A33, although it doesn’t mean you skip it.
Owners of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 in Kenya aren’t being left out. These foldable flagships are also receiving an update focused on the April 2024 security patch. However, users of these devices are still eagerly anticipating the One UI 6.1 update, which has already reached the newer Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Galaxy Z Flip 5 in the region.
The updates are being distributed over-the-air (OTA). You should receive a notification on your Galaxy device prompting you to download and install the update. If you haven’t already, keep an eye out for it over the coming days.
